Welcome to Merci

I have been working with food for 19 years. It started with a dream of having my own restaurant – and that dream came true.

I learned a lot in kitchens in London. We worked hard there, and I learned that small details matter. I brought that with me to Porsgrunn.

Today I run Merci, Follow and Secret Bar. It is a lot of work, but I love it. The best thing I know is when guests smile, stay a little longer and tell us they will be back.

I am here almost every day. So if you see me, come over and say hi.

The name Merci means “thank you” in French. It is my little bow to the world – a thank you for everything I have been given, and to every guest who walks through our door.

So from me to you: merci, a thousand times.
