Merci Restaurant is located within the prestige area in Porsgrunn city with an outside view of the river.
The concept is inspired by French cuisine and dining experience. We believe that an excellent plate is not only the great food, but also the way how it is served !
Surrounding by amazing people on comfortable seats, with our welcome smile, experienced waiter with his profession knowledge, with a well chosen apéritif or glass of wine at your table – we create positive, relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.

Radek Soltys is both Founder and Kitchen Manager with over 10 years of experience in the industry, mainly as Area Chef for restaurant chains.
“Cooking is my real passion. Throughout my many years in London, I worked with leaders for larger chains. One with over 200 restaurants in the UK. My tasks were to develop kitchens, train employees and ensure that all our guests had a good experience.“
Privately, he is a travel enthusiast where he get a lot of culinary inspiration to bring onto the kitchen table.

About the menu
Our card is seasonal based and depend on fresh, unprocessed product available on markets. Merci founder Radek together with help of experience chefs create and change table card few times a year.
Wine menu is carefully selected by our management team and sommelier. We are working closely by sharing our wine & food experience to create best accompaniments to our dining menu.
Merci proudly announce that we are François Lurton’s Ambassador. In our restaurant you’ll find some of François Lurton’s wines, like: MJ Le Petit Pas, Mas Janeil Sans Soufre, Domaine Les Fumées Blanches and Mas Janeil Maury.
